iPad 2

It was love at first sight. And I am not talking about Jer and me. I am talking about Jer and his iPad 2.  After weeks of patiently waiting (ok, not so patiently), he finally got it! I have a feeling I will become the third wheel to this new toy during our week-day couch time...

I have to admit...I kinda want one too!

Our next trip...

March was madness! (no pun intended) But really, between an amazing 5 days in Tulum, Mexico and a fun filled bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, I was going, going, going! While I thought a month of no traveling sounded wonderful, I already have the itch for our next trip. And thank goodness we already have  one on the books!

The Mann's (me, Jer, Jeff & Jody) will heading to Naples, FL to visit my parents over Easter weekend. I haven't seen my parents since January, so this is a much needed visit. It will be a weekend filled with sunny days by the beach/pool, golfing (or attempting to - ha!), great food & even better company. It will also be an early 2 year anniversary celebration for Jer and me!

The countdown is officially on...as my family would say, 23 days and a wake up!

The Sweet 16

In preparation for tonight's Sweet 16 game against Duke,  Jer and I are both sporting Arizona gear at work today. A great excuse to wear a t-shirt, jeans, and my shiny red flats! Later, we will be cheering on our team at one of our favorite neighborhood sports bars - The Nodding Donkey - to hopefully see Zona take home another W! We watched them beat the Longhorns there last Sunday, so we are hoping it is a lucky spot to be tonight.

Staying Connected

Even though I am miles away from my family, we do our best to stay connected. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't ghat, video chat, iChat, text, email, or call at least one person in my family.

This is especially true after becoming an Auntie to my nephew Carson, who seems to change daily! His newest words being "hot" & "turtle" (thanks to his recent trip to Florida!) and even more clearly pronouncing "mama", "dada", "nana", "papa", and "bye bye". He is just too cute for words! Proof is in the photo below, which Jen pictured texted me from Naples last night. Carson and his Papa = best buds!

Bear Down Cats!

There are many advantages of marrying a fellow UofA Wildcat. Similar friends, shared memories of the the dorms, fraternity weekenders, sorority date parties, late nights at Dirt Bags & Trident...the connections are endless.

But one of my favorite connections comes around once a year. A time when students and alumni all across the nation wear their team colors with pride. That's right - March Madness is here and Jeremy and I could not be more proud to be Arizona Wildcats!

Last Sunday we surrounded ourselves with Texas Longhorn fans, standing out in red, white & blue among a sea of burnt orange. The game was far from boring - a nail biter up until the last second. I am happy to say that we WON, moving us on to the Sweet Sixteen this Thursday where we will battle it out with Duke for a spot in the Elite Eight. The perfect excuse to start the weekend early with some ice cold beers to cheer on our Cats! Bear Down Zona!!
