Now, most of you who read this are going to jump to conclusions since you know how much I like Jennifer Aniston, but I swear it isn't because she has the hair cut, it's because I think it is cute and fun for the summer. Wonder if I will go through with it...

"T"
Thank goodness for video chat. Without it, I would go months without seeing my adorable little nephew & Godson, Carson. Thankfully, I get to see him through video chat almost every day! The people around me at work probably think I am nuts when I sing "Itsy Bitsey Spider" into my computer screen, but I don't care. It allows me to watch this little guy grow and learn, which seems to change daily! Better yet, he has learned to know who I am! Even though it's through the computer screen, he sees me and says, "T" (which is short for Auntie, obvi!) He even gives me kisses & hugs! For your viewing pleasure, here are some recent photos of the little tootie...

It's Friday, Friday, Friday!
Not only does Friday afternoon mean that the weekend is just a few short hours away, it also means that the The Marketing Arm's beer cart makes its rounds! There is nothing better than hearing tunes blaring from a boom box from down the hall, accompanied by the sound of clanking beer bottles and twisting off bottle caps. Today's song? Only the seemingly appropriate "It's Friday, Friday, Friday..."I usually cringe when I hear it, but since it was tied to a refreshing cold brewskie, I welcomed it with open arms. Happy Friday...Friday, Friday, Friday!!!
(The beer cart attendant enjoying a cold one himself!)

MAVS!
Being the last home game of the Mavs vs. Heat NBA Finals, Jer and I thought it would be fun to meet up with friends at a bar to watch the game. With the series being tied at 2-2, everyone was on the edge of their seats, anxiously awaiting for a W, putting the Mav's ahead as they head to Miami for the last 2 games.
From the first minute to the very last second, it was such an exciting game! One of those games that EVERY basket the Mavs scored, there were cheers, high fives & fist pumps. I was able to capture on video when the bar absolutely erupted when Jason the JET Terry (a U of A alum!) scored one of the last 3-pointers that put Dallas way ahead in the final minute of the game...
Looking forward to game 6 on Sunday!

Lift. Tone. Burn.
Why is it so easy to get out of shape and so dang hard to get back in shape?!
Personally, I let my busy work schedule get the best of me.
But it's time to make a change...
And with my friend Tiffany's San Diego wedding just a short 3 weeks away, I have the perfect motivation to get my butt back in shape (literally!)
So tonight, I am taking my first Pure Barre class! If you aren't familiar with Pure Barre, it's "a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes."
Here are a few snapshots from the Pure Barre website to give you a sneak peak into what I will be doing tonight from 5:30-6:30pm...

The Windy City
As previously posted here, Jer and I got to spend the long Memorial weekend in Chicago with Jen, Ken, Carson, Katie & Eric! Minus the rainy weather, it was exactly what I needed...time to just hang out and catch up with my fam! The last time all of us "kids" were together was back in January, so it was a much needed trip!
A few highlights from the weekend...
A few highlights from the weekend...
In order to maximize our time together, Jen and Ken graciously hosted the 4 of us at their place. While I wouldn't always offer to take the pull-out option for sleeping quarters, I knew it would result in getting woken up each morning by the cutest little guy in the world!!!
(Katie kicked Jer out of bed in the AM!)
Carson's crazy curls & funny facial expressions :)
An afternoon at Wrigley field cheering on the Cubbies, drinking beer, and eating Chicago dogs :)
Dinner & drinks at a new Zaugh favorite burger joint for an early bday celebration for Ken's sister Sharon
(Carson found his new BFF - Uncle "E"!)
Spending a rainy afternoon at Jen & Ken's go-to brunch place down the street, Frasca.
Getting to see Greg Worsley, a good friend of ours from college, perform in an improv show! Check out his profile here! It was so fun to see him in action. He definitely found his true calling in life!

Mystery Beverage
For me, this simple, white styrofoam cup sitting on my desk means one of two things...
1. I went out for lunch & got a refill before heading back to the office
2. I made an afternoon pit-stop at the cafe in my building and picked myself up a forbidden beverage
Today, a forbidden beverage. As my cube mate aka work BFF aka close friend outside of work and I like to call it, a DCC in a C in a C with ICE. All code words for a soft drink I am not supposed to be drinking at my agency as it is a direct competitor of a client I work for.
But with this simple, white styrofoam cup, no one has to know what I am drinking. Heck, I could be "drinking" on the job! ;)
